Merry Christmas

As I was drafting my annual Christmas newsletter to slip into my Christmas cards, I realized that I have been neglecting my website. Actually the whole reason for setting up this website was to share pictures of our house as it was being built. But I guess I will keep it active for a bit longer to share some more pictures.

In September Trace and I took a little vacation to Wisconsin, mainly around the Milwaukee area. Now I know you are saying, “Why Milwaukee?” Well, obviously it is the beer capital of the US, so I knew it would appeal to Trace. But for me, two words said it all: FROZEN CUSTARD. Now I bet you did not know that Milwaukee is the “Frozen Custard Capital of the US”. That was enough for me! With the added bonus of being situated right on Lake Michigan, it was an ideal destination for us to explore. And we had a blast!! The weather was absolutely gorgeous the whole time we were there. We plan to go back sometime in the future.

As for our house and the “punch list” of issues that I have mentioned in past posts, most of them have been addressed and fixed. However, there are still several that need to get resolved. But thankfully, they are minor and hopefully we will get them resolved before our year warranty is up. Fingers crossed!!

As for our cats, Buster and Bruno, they are doing splendidly. They love their new home and have found lots of places to run and hide and chase each other. Trace and I kid that they now own the house and they just allow us to live there. And they have both received a clean bill of health from our vet.

So, below are some pictures taken during our trip to Wisconsin and some of our house with its holiday cheer on.

Hope everybody has very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!!

Milwaukee has all of these “unique” pieces of art scattered throughout the city. Here’s Trace with the big red plastic cup sculpture.
Here’s Trace with “The Blob”
The view doesn’t get much better than this…
…unless of course you point your camera in the other direction.
We found this little Irish pub in one of Milwaukee’s neighborhoods…BEST fish-n-chips I have found this side of the Atlantic!!!
And of course I had to find a cat cafe. Nothing like holding a little kitty when you are missing your own.
Did I mention that we got to see the Red Wings when they played in Dallas? I was doubly blessed when I got one of their warm-up pucks as a souvenir.
Here’s my Bruno interacting with a couple of his friends on my computer.
Here’s the boys (aka Buster and Bruno chilling out under our Christmas tree.
And this would be our tree
And last but not least, our house decked out for the holidays.
